When sending emails via SMTP, you can track the number of sent, delivered, read emails, as well as the number of click-throughs and the number of errors.
To enable data tracking, go to the "SMTP" section and open the "SMTP Settings" page.
Turn on the option "Enable Tracking."
The email you send via SMTP must contain HTML and TXT versions. Without the HTML version, there is no possibility of adding a tracking pixel to the email, and statistics will not be tracked.
You can check if a tracking pixel has been added to the email in the full email headers of the received email.

How to Add an HTML Version of an Email to Thunderbird
Start composing a new message. In the new message window, open the "Insert" menu and select the "HTML" option.
In the "Insert HTML" window, add your HTML code and click the "Insert" button.
Your message will appear in the input field of the new message window.
