How to set a task stage
You can update task statuses to clarify their current stages for other team members and improve interactions within your team.
Change a task stage
To change a task status, you can drag it across your Kanban board, select a different task status in its card, or change multiple task statuses in the List mode.
Kanban
Go to a task board, switch to the Kanban mode, and drag your task to another stage.
Task card
Open a task, and select a stage from the list.
List
Go to a task board, switch to the List mode, select multiple tasks, and click Change stage.
To change all task stages, select the upper checkbox. To change the number of tasks per page, select a number in the lower right corner.
You can also select all tasks with a certain status or sort them by filter criteria.
Edit a task stage
To edit a task stage, click the three dots to its right, and select Edit. You can edit the following fields:
Stage name | Edit a stage name. |
Color | Select a stage color. |
Task completion timeframe |
Turn on the toggle, and specify the number of days or hours during which your task should remain with a certain status. If a task does not have a set completion date or has a different one, this date will be automatically updated once your task moves to a new stage based on the number of days you specify. For instance, if you move a task without a due date on 12/1/2024 at 12:00 PM and set its completion timeframe to 4 days, its due date will be automatically set to 12/4/2024 at 12:00 PM. |
Set a reminder |
Set a reminder if your task has a due date. Its assigned team member will receive an email with relevant data. You can set a reminder interval from 15 minutes to 7 days. Make sure to schedule your reminder before the task’s due date. |
To remove a task stage, clear its column of any tasks by moving them to other stages or deleting them. Then, click the three dots and select Delete.
To rearrange your stages, move their column headers to the left or right.
