How to change a deal stage
While working on a deal, you can change its stage to keep your team informed about its progress. This allows you to ensure data freshness and improve team collaboration.
In this article, we will talk about how to change a deal stage in the CRM system.
Change a task stage
In a deal card
Open a deal, and select a different stage under the deal name. You can also move the deal to another pipeline.
On a Kanban board
Select the Kanban display mode. Hover over your deal, and drag it to a different stage.
In your list of deals
With the List view mode, you can change multiple deal stages and pipelines.
Select the List view mode. Hover over your deal, and drag it to a different stage. Select deals, and click Change stage above the list.
Select a deal stage in the current or another pipeline, and click Apply.
Edit a deal stage
To edit a deal stage, click the three dots to its right, and select Edit. You can edit the following fields:

Turn on the toggle, and specify the number of days or hours during which your deal should remain at a certain stage. If a deal does not have a set completion date or has a different one, this date will be automatically updated once your deal moves to a new stage based on the number of days you specify. For instance, if you move a deal without a due date on 12/1/2024 at 12:00 PM and set its completion timeframe to 4 days, its due date will be automatically set to 12/4/2024 at 12:00 PM. |

Set a reminder |
Set a reminder if your deal has a due date. Its assigned team member will receive an email with relevant data. You can set a reminder interval from 15 minutes to 7 days. Make sure to schedule your reminder before the deal’s due date. |
To remove a deal stage, clear its column of any deals by moving them to other stages or deleting them. Then, click the three dots and select Delete.
To rearrange your stages, move their column headers to the left or right.
