How to set up an RSS campaign
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds are an easy way to deliver updates from news outlets, blogs, podcast pages, and other regularly updated websites. If you set up an RSS campaign, your blog readers or website visitors can receive web push notifications about new content on your feed.
Create an automated campaign
Go to Push > Automation. Click Create automation > RSS campaign.
In the modal window, add the link to your RSS feed.
Your link must lead to an RSS feed with a valid XML file and be formatted as https://example.com/rss
.
Click Check URL. If the link matches the required parameters, you will be redirected to your campaign settings.
In the Automation name field, name your RSS campaign. This name will be visible only to you.
Select recipients
In the Recipients field, select the website whose subscribers will receive your campaign.
To segment your recipient list, select the Segment the list checkbox and set the criteria (browser language, region, subscription page, subscription date, or browser). You can also collect subscriber data and personalize your campaign using variables.
Customize your campaign
In the following fields, customize your campaign’s appearance.

To upload an image from your device, select the Replace the standard website image checkbox and add your image. Recommended size: 128×128px. Supported format: JPG and PNG, up to 200KB. |

Add UTM tags
To send data to Google Analytics, select the UTM parameters checkbox and fill in the fields:
Campaign Source (utm_source) | Identifies the traffic source, such as push or sendpulse (as your campaign sending tool). |

Select sending conditions
In the Send categories field, select the categories of new content that will trigger notifications.
All categories | Notifications will be sent when any new content appears on your RSS feed. |
Selected | Notifications will be sent when new content appears on your RSS feed under a specific category. Select one or multiple categories. |
In the Send not more than field, set the number of notifications one user can receive daily.
Run your campaign
Once you add and set up your web push notifications, click Save to save your campaign without running it. To run your campaign, click Start. Your web push notifications will be sent automatically according to the schedule.
You can view campaign statistics in Push > Dashboard.
